Soul Part 1

  Almost 22....23 years ago something happened and people...well not many, started gaining superpowers.  They called them hyper beings, or simply "HB"s.  My mom was one of them.  She was one of the first to volunteer her services when the government called to gather a group of them and make them into the team that would be known as "We The People".  She had what they called a soft-metamorphic ability, meaning she could change her appearance somewhat by adding no more or less than twenty pounds.  Sounds kinda useless, but imagine adding 20 pounds of mass into sharpened nails...stronger than steel.  With this ability came a rapid healing ability, the fastest on record, she could fully recover from being burned and crushed in less than 2 seconds, combined with her other ability, she was in the running to become America's premeir hyper female, Lady Liberty.  Unfortunately she was beat out by a blonde (which I learned through a recent interview was because America's premeire hyper male, Constitution, was a rascist.

  For two years she fought the good fight as Panther and did a fairly good job, but then she accepted a racy photoshoot for a popular magazine and they kicked her off the team.  This wouldn't have been bad if she was like a comic book hero and had a secret identity and maintained a real job (some actually did...God knows how), but her only paycheck was from the goverment team and the money she made from the shoot was good , but not enough to maintain the lifestyle she had grown used to, so she did more shoots.  Each one showing more and more skin, until she became the highest paid and world first hyper being pornstar. 

   Drugs came next and with the bills mounting her manager, decided to move her outside of Reno where she would prostitute herself legally.  Many normals frequented for the chance to boff a superhero but even more than that, hyper beings came both good guys and the bad guys.  You see some of their abilities made it difficult if not impossible to have normal relations.  When my mother became pregnant with me, her manager decided the pair should get married (and according to both of them they never had sex before her pregnancy).
 
   Ten years ago, just as suddenly as hyper beings gained their powers, they lost them, the whole world was hyper free within two hours, unfortunate for my mom she was with a hyper client at the time and he lost his ability seconds after she lost hers, but the physical strain...she bled to death in her 'work' room.

   My "Father" (the asshole on the couch with me with the fake ass Blade tat and shades) and I both recieved millions from insurance (he was an ass but he had a brain) but I couldn't touch mine until I was 21 and her will specified him as my trust holder until I graduated from college or turned 21.  That's him across the couch from me...he's visiting and he wants what he's always wanted since I was 13.  I know I should report this but...he found a way to make sure I get nothing if I go to jail and it's not as bad as it was when I was younger (it also helps that he lives in Vegas and I'm in California). 

   I've pretended I like it...hell loved for years now, but I'm a couple years  shy of being 21 and when I get my money...this asshole has one big surprise waiting for him.
